Primus, a division of Computer Networking
Services (CNS)
was established in 1996 to meet the maturing needs of the Jordanian ICT community, and has since become one of the leading ICT companies in Jordan.
CNS currently has three divisions; one is Primus – Software & Web solutions, which is the Software, Web Solutions and Multimedia Presentations arm. The second is
Primus Consulting, and the third is PC Doctor, which provides on-site PC repair, maintenance and network implementation, working 24hrs / day – 7 days/week.
Primus aims to be the market leader in Consulting, Software solutions, web development and multimedia presentations, through providing reliable services and brilliant solutions that adhere to high quality international business standards.
A wide range of clients, with varied ICT needs, have selected Primus to develop their Software applications, websites and multimedia presentations.
Our development includes web applications, online portals, e-commerce, e-government solutions and data warehousing. In addition, Primus provides its clients with all their needs on the web, ranging from web design, management and maintenance, to marketing thru e-mail shots and e-newsletters. We also provide hosting and ICT consultancy.
Primus has been a subcontractor for several U.S. projects in Jordan and the region. Its latest subcontracts are with BearingPoint, Inc., ARD and MSI, where in
2006, Primus was part of BearingPoint’s bidding team and has become a subcontractor for two major projects for Jordan, which are the
Fiscal Reform Technical Assistance Project for the Ministry of Finance and the
Sustainable Achievement of Business Expansion and Quality (SABEQ) Project. In addition, Primus has become a subcontractor for
MSI on the Iraq Capacity Building project. Moreover, Primus started the year 2007 by being part of the bidding team and becoming a subcontract with
ARD winning the Customs Administration Modernization Program (CAMP).
Primus’ long history with U.S. projects started in 1999, when Primus became a sub-contractor for
Chemonics International, for the USAID- Funded Achievement of Market-Friendly Initiatives and Results Program –
AMIR, and part of the bidding team for the AMIR II, which started in 2002. In addition, Primus was awarded the
IQC (Indefinite Quantity Contract) to perform e-government
projects in Jordan along with other reputable Jordanian IT companies. This contract’s major outcome is the Jordanian e-Government Portal
www.jordan.gov.jo.
Primus has continued to expand its market, whereby in 2003 Primus became a sub-contractor for
BearingPoint Inc., working as part of their Iraq Economic Recovery, Reform and Sustained Growth Projects I and II. A long-term fruitful relationship has been achieved between Primus and BearingPoint including a project for the development and implementation of the Iraqi Customs Levy System (ICLS), Systems Installations in all Iraqi Border Posts, the Corporate Tax Registration Module for the Iraqi Income Tax Commission, in addition to an outsourcing agreement where CNS was appointed the official migration partner for BearingPoint in the Middle East and eastern Europe. Moreover, other main contracts with international entities have been implemented; including a sub-contract with
Creative Associates, starting with the Iraqi Educational Management Information System (EMIS) Project for the Ministry of Education in Iraq, contracts with the
United Nations, the National Democratic Institute (NDI), also in 2005 Primus became a sub-contractor for the
State University of New York (SUNY) for the legislative strengthening of the Jordanian Parliament.
Primus' achievements in 2005 came in alignment to its efforts in embracing new ideas and latest technologies, as we are now part of the
BearingPoint IPT Consortium, which aims at leveraging IP telephony in the five continents, in 23 countries for 15,000 users.
Primus’ continuous efforts in the region were also complimented by its achievement s in the Pan
Arab Web Awards and the Jordan Web Awards for three consecutive years. Primus has won five awards in the pan Arab Web Awards 2004, which took place in Dubai, in addition to six awards in 2005. Primus has also won nine awards in the Jordan Web Awards 2006 including the strategic web award, ranking Primus one of the three top Web Development Companies in Jordan by the Jordan Web Awards, a member of the Pan Arab Web Awards
Primus has had the privilege of servicing over 450 clients in Jordan including government entities, non-profit organizations, embassies, corporate bodies and private institutions. Our plan is to work in a wider around-the-globe market, an initiative that we achieve through the harmonious cooperation of employees and management-an unbeatable team effort. Our client base started in Jordan and we have successfully expanded our presence to the
United States, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait
and Lebanon.
